WHAT IS PODCASTING?
Podcasting is simply a method of delivering and/or receiving fresh audio content in mp3 format from web sites that offer audio content. Users install a Podcast client program on their local computer and then subscribe to Podcast 'feeds' found at web sites offering audio content. The Podcast client checks the feeds on a regular basis for new content, and when new content is made available it is downloaded to the user's computer automatically.

For example, a user who subscribes to the Hope Church Manchester Podcast will automatically receive our content delivered to their Podcast client whenever we post new audio content.

WHAT DO I NEED TO GET STARTED?
You need to download and install a Podcast client. Here are a few available Podcast clients:

Apple iTunes (for Windows and Macs)
jPodder
Juice

HOW DO I USE iTUNES WITH THE HOPE PODCAST?
Before you begin, make sure you have iTunes 4.9 or later. Any previous version will NOT work. You can download the newest version from apple.com.

1. From the iTunes program, locate the Advanced at the top of the window and click it.
2. On the drop down menu ,locate Subscribe to Podcast and click it.
3. In the task box, type or copy and paste the Podcast URL from the top of this page, and Click OK.
4. The program will automatically download the latest audio from our website, into Podcasts on your iTunes. To view the content click the triangle next to The Hope Church Manchester Podcast.
